March 28 Dive Log

Location: Tonggo Beach Resort, Lapu-lapu City
Time: 1430 HRS

I was again underwater with Yoyon, one of our dive master. The current was a little bit rough. I really feel it moving against me as I move down to 20 meters. Well, to late to go back now, I am already here so might as well enjoy.
I was not able to take much pictures as we move forward but as we were coming back, I had the opportunity to take some.

For the several diving sessions that I did, I never failed to notice the presence of Lion fishes in the area. It seems there are plenty of them in this site.
I also was amazed to see this big star partly hidden in the coral. Its quite big from the star fishes that we usually see in the sand.

Now look at this fish. If it was in the military, then this fish would be a good sniper. It has the perfect camouflage.

Well, some of the pictures I have taken were coral formations.

March 21 Dive Log

In case I have not mentioned, I have been teaching in the University of San Carlos, handling First aid and Basic Life Support Subject for several Physical Education students. Our finals was held in the beach area.
Part of the exam was responding to an emergency (rescue simulation) and CPR return demonstration.

A short discussion on Water Safety was also held and more than that, the students had their scuba diving experience.

Dive Log March 14, 2010

Dive Log Dated March 14, 2010.
Location: Tonggo Beach
Lapu-lapu City

The tide was low but still it was a good dive. The current was also very slow which eventually made the dive very easy and cool. I have reached another milestone by diving up to 40 meters (131.23 feet).
Going down I was able to take a few pictures along the way. The first one was taken at 20 meters. I am really sorry I could not name this but it was really a great site worth the taking.

As I headed down, I saw this bottle which seems to have adapted with the environment already. Perhaps it was there for quite a time already considering that some corals have set in already.

This coral really amazed me. If you try to look at it, it looks like a hand praying... I have not seen this before on my previous dive considering that we are just diving 20 - 30 meters on previous dives.

Well, that's all for now... See you on the next dive.

Dive Log March 7, 2010

Well, we are once again underwater, at 15oo hours. Together with my two dive master buddies, we took another dip underwater. The current was a little bit rough compared to our previous dive but well it was still a very enjoyable experience.

We were underwater for a total of 45 minutes going under 25 meters the deepest. I had another chance to take some pictures but mostly the view are just the same. I am rally planning to take a dive in the sanctuary later on to take great pictures. For the meantime, this will just have to do, a picture of fishes as we approach 20 meters deep.
