December 6, 2009

We had another diving experience dated December 6, 2009. It was another fun and new experience for all of us. We proceeded to the sanctuary in Bgy. Talima and jumped for our first dive.

Our dive instructors preparing our gears for the dive as we head towards the sanctuary.

Joining us on the boat are two new friends. They came here in the Philippines for a vacation and at the same time to obtain a diving license.

We went a little deeper this time and the only good picture I was able to take was that of my diving buddy, Leo. Will, I guess its time to upgrade my camera.

Too bad I was not able to take a picture of the shipwreck that we have visited underwater. But surely I will come back to the site and take pictures later on....

November 14, 2009

We had another diving activity and this time we went a little deeper. It was around 60 feet and all was well.
Thats Sir Jet (left side) one of our diving instructor, with Leo (right picture) my diving buddy. I was on top of them taking the pictures.

I would also like to introduce two additional guys who joined our diving team. RD and Lynmae who have just received their diving license. Over all we are now a total of 7 diving newbies.

Underwater Pictures

After the fun dive program for our guests, it was now our turn to dive. Of course, it always starts with a briefing....
After the briefing, we are now underwater....

I am still adjusting the settings for the camera since this was the first time I have done this picture taking underwater. Well, the sea water was a little bit unclear since there was a typhoon prior to our dive. I will surely take better pictures on our next dive.

Well, after the dive we also had the chance to ride the wave......

The rest of our guest were also able to ride the jet ski... it was really a lucky day for them....

Fun Dive @ TALIMA - Oct. 19, 2008

Another group of people availed of our Fun Dive program. This time we brought them to Bgy. Talima, Lapu lapu City and boarded the coral point pump boat to the said site.

As usual the diving gears are properly check to insure that its completely free from any defect and is in tip top shape prior to the dive.

The first and foremost of all are the safety tips as well as basic diving signals. Together with Sir Emi are his team of divers who is always on monitor and insures that the participants will have a safe and fun diving experience....

One of the participant who took the fun dive program.... telling everyone " it is so easy, look, I did not even use my hands"...

Another Dive Experience Sept. 12, 2009

We proceeded back to Talima for our diving lesson. Aside from this, I and my team were also scheduled to conduct Basic Life Support training for the dive rangers in the area.

Again it was another great diving experience considering that we were already diving deeper into the ocean.

We are scheduled once again to come back to the area for another lesson. Surely I myself have gained confidence in my diving and we will soon be receiving our diving license.

We really are serious.....

We have continued with our diving program and this time we are taking it to the next level. We are off to the sea. The great thing is we rode a pumpboat and traveled for about an hour heading to an island south east of Lapu-lapu.

The place is a resort owned by Mam Quene, a councilor of Lapu-lapu City. The reason that we have chosen the site is that fronting the resort is a marine sanctuary that is operated and maintained by the City of Lapu-lapu.

Of course before the dive, there is always the briefing. We now know how to set up our equipments in preparation for the dive. After the briefing, we then proceeded to the sea....

It was again another great diving experience. The best thing is we are another step closer to obtaining our diving license. I am really happy with the developments. Most especially that two additional people will be joining our team in diving.....

Fun Dive CCSDC Caregiving Students

After our first diving experience, I have decided to offer a fun diving experience to my Emergency Care Students. It so happened that I had a First aid and PRO CPR training for CCSDC caregiving school and have about 30 students taking the course.

I offered to them the Fun Dive program that Sir Emi and I have agreed upon. The event was really on time since our simulation drill is to be conducted in Portofino Resort, Lapu-lapu City.

It was awesome since all the students were interested and availed of our Fun Dive Program

Sir Emi surrounded by students during the briefing prior to the dive. After the briefing, students proceeded to the water along with the rest of the diving instructor and staff for the Fun Dive.

The feedback was really great. All of the students had fun and enjoyed the activity. Some of them even wanted to continue diving to earn a diving license later on..... It was surely fun and exciting....

DIVING IS FUN.....

Well, if you think that diving is dangerous and difficult, you will have to think twice. It is absolutely great and for as long as you follow the rules, its definitely safe.

You do not have to be an expert swimmer to learn scuba diving. This is what I learned after our first ever experience underwater. If you look at the picture on the right side, that is my 12 year old nephew. He does not have any formal training in swimming. But obviously you will notice that he is doing quite well for his first diving experience.

Of course we started out in the pool considering that we have to learn the basics first.

My wife is also enjoying this new found thrill. She does not even like the seawater but it seems that with the gears on diving on her body, there is no doubt that she is really in for it....

OUR DIVING INSTRUCTOR

Our diving instructor is MR. EMELITO BONGHANOY. He has been diving for so many years and is a license dive instructor under NAUI, PADI and CMAS.

Our training started with a lecture on the basics of diving. The topic was very interesting and our instructor was also very good in delivering the program which made the learning fun.

After the Lecture, the diving equipments were then introduce and all of us prepared for our first ever diving experience....

My wife Grace, my nephew KG and niece Kelly joined were the ones with me together with Leo one of our Instructor of Emergency Care Courses.
